Corrupt, an all-new romantic standalone from Jessica Prince is available NOW!!

Garrett Wilder is rich, famous, and totally bad for me. After one night that ended with me wanting to punch him in his face, the self-absorbed rockstar has become a permanent fixture in my life…

Whether I like it or not.

Now I’m forced to see him every day, and that shield I put up to protect my heart is quickly crumbling to the ground. I’ve gone from hating him to craving him. And the scariest part is that he feels the same.

He wants to know me.

He wants to own me.

He wants to corrupt me.

And if I’m not careful…

I just might let him.

Corrupt-AN

I’ve read so many “one-night stand” books in my short life that it’s often hard for me to be excited by them anymore.
They’re always the same old, same old story where the characters meet, do the deed and then proceed to pursue a relationship because the connection between them was just too “powerful” to let it go. Or they do the deed and a few weeks later we have the female character puking all over the place and a bean cooking in the oven and the characters then decide to pursue a relationship because duh! They’re totally going to make this work.

Don’t get me wrong, I love these kind of stories. I am a sucker for stories where one night stand end up in amazing relationships. It is just that sometimes you just need a little something else in your life—something new.

When I started reading Corrupt I honestly thought it was going to be the same old “one-night stand” story. It kind of is but color me impressed when I got 12% into the story and discovered a little holy grail that made me say “I am here for this!!”.
I am keeping this spoiler free so I can’t say why this books is different but believe me when I say it is interesting and VERY realistic.

Corrupt is told from Gwen’s point of view.

Gwen’s life has been a whirlwind of unfortunate events for the past couple of years. When her best friend, Corinne, somehow nails an invite to an exclusive party in the house of a member of Civil Corruption, Gwen decides she needs a little fun in her life. After all, things are looking up. Things are not going downhill again. Right?

Wrong. Because Garret, the drummer of Civil Corruption is bad news. He’s a one night stand kind of pal. He’s what comes up when you search for the word Player. And nothing, not even one night with the sweet Gwen is going to change that.

Corrupt is a cute second chance/rockstar romance that you will devour in just a couple of hours. You will not only love the main characters, Gwen and Garret, you will love the secondary characters as well. They’re all fantastic.

If you need a sexy and kind of dramatic short read then this is the book for you.

blog tour teaser

Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That’s why God created central air, after all.

Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy–she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says.

In addition to being a wife and mom, she’s also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books–romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it’s a passion…there’s a difference. Not that she’d expect a boy to understand.

Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.

  1. I swear that I started to be like “nope done” when I read that synopsis. It sounds cliched to all heck. Your review though! It made me go “hmm this may not be the cliched hot mess that I thought it was.” I am going to goodreads and adding it to my TBR.

    1. Love this so much! Glad my review made you consider reading this book even though the synopsis didn’t attract you 😊
