Eleven authors. Eleven Novellas. This is one thick . . . book.

Christmas just became a whole lot merrier…

TEAM PLAYER, A Christmas Anthology featuring titles by LJ Shen, Kennedy Ryan, Adriana Locke, Mandi Beck, Emma Scott, Charleigh Rose, Ella Fox, Sara Ney, Meghan Quinn, Kate Stewart and Rochelle Paige is available NOW!

Publication Date: December 14th, 2017

Genre: Contemporary/Sports Romance

Hot jocks. We love them all.

Sexy baseball players. Intense footballers. Sweaty MMA fighters, and sizzling hockey hotties. Score!

The good news? Eleven bestselling authors have gathered to give you a set of stories focused on the men we love most—sports heroes. We bet you’ll love this thick…book.

The bad news? The men in these novellas don’t actually exist.

*This anthology does not contain calories, just eleven original, never-before-seen stories by the following authors: Adriana Locke, Mandi Beck, Charleigh Rose, Kennedy Ryan, LJ Shen, Meghan Quinn, Rochelle Paige, Ella Fox, Kate Stewart, Emma Scott, and Sara Ney. We aren’t responsible for melted devices.

This was my first time reading an anthology (if my memory serves me right) and OH MY GOSH, why was it my first time reading an anthology? Why didn’t anyone tell me they are effing great? I can’t believe I’ve spent all of these years without anthologies in my life. They are amazing. Fun for everyone. Ten out of ten would recommend.

I’m going to rate and share my rambling thoughts on almost every single novella (except Cross by Adriana Locke) in this anthology so y’all know which ones I loved the most and which ones I didn’t and then you can decide whether you give them all a try or just read some of them. But just to be clear, I recommend you read this humongous book.

YARD SALE by Charleigh Rose

This book is about that one night stand that ends up in an unexpected pregnancy. If you’ve seen Love, Rosie and loved it then you are probably going to love this novella. It doesn’t have the friends-to-lovers but it has the hilarious incident where the guy loses a condom where it is definitely not supposed to be.

I’m giving this one a four mainly because I’m not a huge fan of rushing into things (aka one night stands). Also because one moment the characters where mad at each other and the next they were going at it, things felt a little overwhelming at times.

I don’t have much to say about this novella unfortunately. I couldn’t really connect with the characters and I couldn’t feel the connection between them either. The male character crept me the F out. The vibe I got from him wasn’t very pleasant even though he was supposedly a good guy.

I felt like the story was very rushed. It was definitely way too fast paced for my liking. I would have been great for a full-length novel.

ONE GOOD MAN by Emma Scott

Does this sound like an amazing plot? American college student/journalist living in Paris has to do a story on a football player. She wants to write important things not just about a football player. There’s more to the football player than she thought. He’s actually ONE GOOD MAN.

You are darn right that sounds like a freaking amazing plot. Emma Scott is a genius and I love her.

This story is such a grown up. That’s the best way to describe it. It is like the perfect mature romance even though the characters are still in college. (Not saying college students are immature but… you know, some are definitely not completely mature.)

I wasn’t a huge fan of the main female character but, YOU ALL, the main male character. He’s so l o v e l y.

It’s a story about following your dreams and doing what’s right and the big stories inside the little stories.

Are you a fan of second chance romances like me? Then you are in for a treat.

The characters met three years ago. They had a relationship that ended pretty badly and now they have to work together to fix the main male character’s career.

Holy crap. The tension in this book!! It keeps you at the edge of your seat dying to know what happens next.

It is a perfectly paced story for being so short. Everything happens at the perfect timing. I loved every second and I wish I had more of these characters.

FULL COURT PRESS by Kennedy Ryan

The characters met ten years ago. They didn’t hook up or anything similar but the connection was definitely there. They moved on with their lives, got married, had kids and now life reunited them.

MY GOSH. OF COURSE this one was amazing. Kennedy Ryan is the reason I decided to pick up this anthology and her story absolutely did not disappoint. This is another one of those romances I like to call “grown up romance”. It is emotional, sexy and romantic. And I can’t recommend it enough!

5 / 5 flowers

If you are a fan of friends-to-lovers romances and fake relationships then you are going to LOVE this novella. It is full of tension and steamy moments and maybe a wee bit of drama—which I found very unnecessary.

At first I didn’t love the characters but they kind of grew on me. They might me a tiny bit immature but then again who doesn’t need a bit of immaturity in the life from time to time?

SIN BIN by Mandi Beck

Another unexpected pregnancy!!

Unfortunately I didn’t love this one. The characters are so alike and I feel like they don’t really belong together. They are always crashing and I didn’t love that.

The main male character drove me nuts all the time with his cockiness. The main female character was way too stubborn. I wish I could say they grew on me but they didn’t.

The ending caught me by surprise. One moment the ending seemed chapters away but then I blinked and the story was over. It was a perfectly paced story and then suddenly everything happened in a rush.

And last, I love me some well written steamy scenes but this novella was way too raunchy for me. I just couldn’t get into it.

BACK IN THE GAME by Meghan Quinn

AHH. My favorite novella!! And another “grown up romance”.

I’m so in love with Meghan Quinn. Ugh. I can’t.

This book is dripping honey and that’s that.

It is funny, romantic and mutant-butterflies-in-stomach inducing. The characters are the definition of lovely and their chemistry is out of the charts amazing. Their banter will have you hooked from chapter one. READ THIS ONE NOW.

SLAPPED INTO LOVE by Rochelle Paige

Holy moly. I’m in love with this story. It is short, sweet, drama free and so swoon-worthy!!

The characters had a one night stand and later they re-encounter and pursue a relationship. There was not a lot of awkwardness between them after their hook up and I’m in love with the main character for going after the girl.

I fell in love with all of the characters and I NEED MORE OF THEM.

I can tell you right now, I’m a fan of Rochelle Paige and this is my first time reading anything by her.

4.5 / 5 flowers

OH MY GOODNESS. I LOVE THIS STORY. It is my runner-up for favorite novella.

Have you ever seen The Parent Trap? This novella has strong The Parent Trap vibes. There’s a boy-crazy twin and a reserved twin. The reserved twin has to pretend to be boy-crazy twin. She fails. And falls for the guy. Her boy-crazy twin’s guy. If that doesn’t sound amazing to you then I don’t know what will.

It is fun and I swooned all the way through. There’s a latino male character and I’M DECEASED. There’s also some hot conversations in Spanish and I just can’t. I CAN’T.

5 / 5 flowers

To be absolutely honest, I decided to pick up this anthology solely because of Kennedy Ryan. I recently fell in love with her books so I just HAD to read the novella she wrote for this anthology because duh! Everything she writes is gold! I didn’t even glance at the rest of the authors but darn, this anthology transformed me into an author-stalking (not in the weird way) monster. I have so many new authors I’m adding to my list of “Amazing authors I mistakenly underestimated and whose books I need to read ASAP”.

I give this entire anthology a solid 4.5 out of 5 flowers (aka stars). It has something for everyone. It has such different stories and different characters that one moment you’ll want to pull your heart out of your chest from the emotion overload and the next you’ll be the laughing and being the most carefree person to ever walk the planet.

It has Christmas, sports, sexy moments, a whole lot of fun and A BUNCH of romance. There are good guys, bad guys, alpha males, single dads and more. There are strong independent women and young adults, some pretty darn relatable girls, heartbroken gals and more.

Y’all need to buy this anthology as a Christmas present to yourselves and relax reading these amazing stories. I bet you’ll even find your new favorite author in there.

Adriana Locke

A contemporary romance author running on coffee and sticky kisses from my rowdy four little boys.

Mandi Beck

Mandi Beck has been an avid reader all of her life. A deep love for books always had her jotting down little stories on napkins, notebooks, and her hand. As an adult she was further submerged into the book world through book clubs and the epicness of social media. It was then that she graduated to writing her stories on her phone and then finally on a proper computer.

A nursing student, mother to two rambunctious and somewhat rotten boys, and stepmom to two great girls away at college, she shares her time with her husband in Chicago where she was born and raised. Mandi is a diehard hockey fan and blames the Blackhawks when her deadlines are not met.

Emma Scott

I write romances with flawed characters, characters with artistic hearts: builders, poets, and writers of various makes and models. I love to write book lovers; those who have found refuge, companionship, and escape in books, much as we do in real life. I like realism, honesty, authenticity in storytelling. I love to write about enduring love, soul-deep love, in as real a setting as I can make, but with big smooshy HEAs. I believe in diversity, open-mindedness, and inclusion. I like sweetness mixed with steam, love conquering all, and above all, hope. Love always wins.

Meghan Quinn

She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four-legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
